The Sanitation and Environment Fair in Brazil, Fenasan 2025, organized by AESabesp – Sabesp Engineers Association, took place from October 21st to 23rd at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, gathering the main players in the basic sanitation sector.

The 2025 edition addressed the theme "Sanitation and innovation: pillars for a resilient and sustainable future," highlighting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations (UN), broadening the dialogue on environmental sanitation, environment, and sustainability issues, and promoting knowledge sharing.

Erica Silva, a Digimed specialist, highlights how analytical instrumentation is integrated into basic sanitation and contributes to environmental protection: "When we talk about environmental protection, precise and exact measurement is what will guarantee the effectiveness of treatments. During the event, we were able to demonstrate how reliable instruments ensure that decisions about disposal, reuse, and treatment are based on real data. This awareness is fundamental because there is still a gap between environmental discourse and technical practice. Showing the role of instrumentation in this context helps public and private managers understand that control, monitoring, and preservation go hand in hand."

Fenasan was a meeting point between those who produce technology and those who face the challenges of sanitation daily. By bringing together specialists, universities, and manufacturers, the event reinforced the idea that ensuring water quality is multidisciplinary, where the use of adequate tools is essential in this context. For monitoring, for example, the use of reliable instruments with high metrological precision, both in the laboratory and in the process, contributes to increasing the quality and speed of decision-making and corrections.

Erica also emphasizes the importance of Fenasan 2025: "The event gave visibility to new solutions, from integrated systems to the inclusion of new technologies, such as portable and laboratory meters with touch screens and IP-67 protection ratings, which make monitoring easier and more reliable. This creates a more solid technical culture within the sector."

Innovation and sustainability reinforce Digimed's purpose at Fenasan 2025

Digimed, with the purpose of bringing confidence to the sustainable advancement of industry, society, and the environment through building possibilities in analytical instrumentation and environmental analysis, was present at the fair and presented its complete platform, featuring laboratory, field, and process instruments, with a comprehensive system that provides:

- Navigability

- Connectivity

- Security

- Production

- Maintenance

- Design

The six pillars aim to promote objectivity in the use of instruments, in an interactive and self-explanatory manner, with traceability and user control, availability of preventive diagnostics, quality tests, modernity, robustness, and autonomy for the customer.

Tadeu Muner, a Digimed specialist, shows how the platform is a game-changer for analytical technology: "It's something that doesn't exist on the market, both in terms of technology and usability, as it is easy to operate, easy to work with, sends precise and reliable results, and brings confidence to the operator, who can analyze the data in their laboratory."

Furthermore, the Digimed platform helps industries, treatment plants, and hundreds of other business segments comply with environmental regulations through the analysis and monitoring of water, effluents, and production processes.

For Erica, it is clear how Digimed instruments are aligned with digital transformation: "Today we already have automatic analyzers that send signals directly to the final element or monitoring center, transmitters with self-diagnosis, and even meters with Bluetooth, Wifi connectivity, and digital protocols, such as Modbus. Moreover, integration with cloud platforms allows remote monitoring of the process and preventive action in case of deviations. This automation reduces human intervention, minimizes errors, and speeds up the response to non-conformities. It is a trend that places instrumentation at the center of digital transformation in water control and quality."

Digimed demonstrated at Fenasan 2025 to be a reference in environmental analysis, with collections and analyses accredited by Inmetro's General Coordination for Accreditation (CGCRE), in accordance with ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard.

The environmental analysis business area features metal, microbiology, testing, and organic laboratories for the analysis of over 1900 parameters in raw water, effluents, solid and liquid waste, as well as contaminated areas, meeting the main environmental standards.

Digimed at the Sabesp Operators' Championship

One of the highlights of Fenasan 2025, the Sabesp Operators' Championship, brought together operators from public and private sanitation companies, promoting integration and highlighting the best performances.

For the Jar Test, one of the championship trials, Digimed, for the 3rd consecutive year, supplied its instruments for measuring Turbidity, Conductivity, and pH, which provided precise results, and glassware utensils, such as beakers.

Tadeu shared how the contribution to the Operators' Championship is an opportunity for professionals to get to know the instruments and check the advancements: "The instruments offer performance, practicality, and precision in results. After all, if there isn't a quality and precise instrument, the results may not be as good and could harm the competition."

This participation reinforced Digimed's presence as a technology manufacturer that develops analytical methodologies to serve the entire market and environmental standards, providing direct solutions for companies and industries.
